Hey y'all! I am a writer and community organizer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've spent most of my life in activist spaces, starting at a young age being brought to actions for the Americans with Disabilities Act, participating in protests at the University of Texas at Austin in the 1990s, and creating programs in partnership with the Utah Pride Center for bisexual and other sexually fluid identified individuals who were seeking community.
I've been the coordinator for the Salt Lake City Writers Group for over fifteen years, helping authors find community and support for their work. The group has produced authors such as Rebecca Allred and Sophia Pasternak. (Not to brag.)
I write Queer romance, very specifically set in Salt Lake City. I come at it from a desire to not just give queer characters a happily-ever-after (or happily-for-now) storyline, but also to celebrate my weird little hometown. I love to write the lives of actors and athletes and musicians – characters who fill our fairytale dreams, and make them tangile parts of our communities.
Most recently, I worked with Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services on their Oral History project, I Have a Story, and been featured in Bi Women Quarterly. My novels have been recognized twice by the Utah Arts and Humanities Novel Writing Contest.
